Werder Bremen's Marko Arnautovic admits he must make amends for errors
Striker stresses importance of taking step in right direction following less than perfect campaign
Werder Bremen striker Marko Arnautovic admits he has to improve for next season after being dropped by Austria for their Euro 2012 qualifier against Germany in June.It has not been the best of seasons for the hitman, who was recently in hot water with Bremen after visiting a nightclub before a Bundesliga match.
And he knows the importance of avoiding pitfalls.
"Before the Dortmund match I [messed] it up. But since then I focus only on football and not on the circus around," he told Bild.
"I got lots of praise and it was ok. I know I must change. Next season I want to perform better."
A return of just three goals in 25 games, on top of poor performances for Austria against Belgium and Turkey, appears to have scuppered his chances of impressing his national team.
