Norwegian Stale Solbakken is rumoured to be taking over as coach of Koln for the 2011-2012 Bundesliga season.

The Copenhagen boss is tipped to make the move to Germany, according to reports from news website Express.de, despite being contracted to join Norway as national team coach in January 2012.

Solbakken has led FC Copenhagen to a commanding 26-point lead at the top of the Danish league and the German top-flight side will be hoping this success can translate into the Bundesliga.

Following the removal of Frank Schaefer at the end of April, Koln's sports director Volker Finke has acted as a caretaker coach for the remainder of the season.

Although both clubs have yet to confirm the speculation, it is believed that Solbakken is a prime candidate to take over from Finke, and discussions could commence in the coming days.
