Frank Schaefer to quit Koln after final four games of the Bundesliga season

Koln coach Frank Schaefer has announced his decision to quit the Bundesliga club at the end of the current campaign.

"After careful consideration, [I will resign] at the end of the season as head coach of FC Koln," Schaefer was quoted as saying by the club's official website.

"The club will now be able to concentrate fully on avoiding relegation," he added.

Koln are currently six points above the drop zone with four games remaining. Schaefer is expected to hold a press conference later today.
