Hoffenheim starlet Boris Vukcevic will miss the rest of the Bundesliga season after sustaining a fibula fracture on Saturday...

The 2010-11 Bundesliga season has come to a premature end for Hoffenheim starlet Boris Vukcevic, who sustained a serious injury during Saturday's 0-0 draw against Hamburg.

The 21-year-old midfielder suffered a fibular fracture following a clash with Hamburg's Eljero Elia, according to the Sinsheim club's official website. Vukcevic had come on as a second half substitute, but lasted just 14 minutes before sustaining the injury.

Though he will not need surgery, the Germany U-21 international will miss the next six to eight weeks, effectively ruling him out of contention to return before the end of the season.

Vukcevic has made 53 appearances for Hoffenheim since his debut in 2008. His consistently strong performances as a substitute at the start of the season resulted in his integration into the starting XI, as well as his promotion to the Germany U-21 national team.
