According to reports from Germany, Christoph Daum is in talks with Hamburg, and may take on a position as either coach or sporting director.Under Armin Veh, Hamburg have underperformed this year, prompting speculation over a potential replacement in the near future. Now coming into focus is former Koeln and Fenerbahce coach Christoph Daum.
According to a report from Express, Hamburg are in secret talks with the 57-year-old, who is favourite to land a job as sporting director. However, Daum has stated his intent to become a coach once more.
"I see myself as a coach, I enjoy the most experience in this area," he said.
Accordingly, Daum may also be in line to replace Veh should Hamburg become impatient with the struggling coach. Either way, it is expected that German football will soon see the face of Christoph Daum in some capacity.
