According to a report in Bild, Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt are considering making a move for Netherlands international Khalid Boulahrouz, currently under contract with Europa League hopefuls Stuttgart.
Frankfurt have been in surprisingly good form in the first half of the season and sit seventh in the league table at the moment.
However, they're being plagued by injuries and are therefore looking to add some more depth to their squad in January. Head coach Michael Skibbe supposedly sees the 28-year-old Boulahrouz as the perfect signing.
Boulahrouz started his professional career with RKC and also wore the jerseys of Hamburg, Chelsea and Sevilla before joining Stuttgart in the summer of 2008. The centre-back never really managed to secure regular first team action at the Schwaben though and could therefore be on his way out again.
The defender's current contract with Stuttgart runs until the summer of 2012, but the German side are ready to cash in on Boulahrouz if a good offer comes in.
