Under-Fire Stuttgart Coach Jens Keller: I Think I Do My Job Very Well
Jens Keller refused to accept the blame for Stuttgart's lacklustre display in Friday's 2-1 loss to Hannover...
Stuttgart coach Jens Keller was dissatisfied with his team's effort in Friday's 2-1 loss to Hannover. However, he believes in his abilities as a coach, and blamed his players for their poor performance."I am extremely disappointed with the team, especially our performance before half-time. We were completely asleep," he told reporters. "It is sad, but I have no sympathy."
Keller went on to address his many critics, who have grown both in number and in volume in recent days.
"I am not worried. I think I do my job very well. I cannot influence everyone else."
Stuttgart are currently 16th in the Bundesliga table, with just 12 points from 16 matches. The Swabians have already sacked Christian Gross this year, but Keller may soon become the second coach to be relieved of his post.
