Koeln coach Zvonimir Soldo has lamented his side's failure to close out a victory against Hoffenheim on Friday evening. Lukas Podolski had put them ahead, but in the second-half they were pegged back by the visitors.
"Overall I am very pleased with my team. In the first half we played very well. After the equaliser we had some chances to score," he suggested to Kicker.
"Today a point is not enough for us."
Midfielder Adam Matuszczyk also told the press that his side should have been able to take all three points.
"We have unnecessarily lost two points. It's inexplicable that we came out so weak after half-time. The team deserved the victory," he concluded.
Koeln have just five points from six matches in Bundesliga action this season.
