The future of Riccardo Montolivo has been a hot topic in the news in recent days, and now Arsenal and Bayern Munich have been added to the long list of potential suitors for the Fiorentina midfielder.
Inter and Juventus have long been linked to Montolivo, but according to a report from Tuttosport, Arsenal and Bayern Munich may bid for the Italy international. With Cesc Fabregas potentially on his way to Barcelona in the not-so-distant future, and Mark van Bommel considering ending his career at PSV Eindhoven, the signing of a player of Montolivo's character would appear a welcome option for both Arsenal and Bayern.
Montolivo, 25, has made 160 appearances for Fiorentina since joining the club in 2005. His current contract is set to expire in 2012.
