Wolfsburg coach Steve McClaren will possibly be without the services of attacking midfielder Diego when the Wolfe take on Europa League hopefuls Borussia Dortmund in Saturday's Bundesliga encounter.
The former Juventus man is being plagued by a foot injury and was unable to participate in Tuesday's training session. Diego has been occupying himself with running exercises in the past couple of days.
"I'm not 100 per cent match fit yet and still have pain in my foot. I can't say yet whether I'll be ready in time for Saturday's match. I hope that I'll make it though," Diego was quoted as saying by Bild.
Diego joined Wolfsburg from Juventus in the last week of the summer transfer window and made his official debut in the home match against Mainz. The attacking midfielder scored once, but couldn't prevent his side from losing 4-3.
