Stuttgart coach Christian Gross has given a vote of confidence in support of centre half Georg Niedermeier. The 24-year old has been under fire for his performances early in the season, but Gross nonetheless believes in his quality.
"The sun does not shine every day," the Swiss coach told Bild. "I am convinced that his security will return."
Niedermeier himself is confident that he will soon find his form once more: "I have ended my slump," he said simply.
Stuttgart next play on Saturday against red-hot Freiburg.
