Stuttgart midfielder Sami Khedira is continually being linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid since his excellent performances for Germany at the 2010 World Cup, but the holding midfielder has yet to make a decision about his future.
New Stuttgart sporting director Fredi Bobic isn't too happy with the ongoing transfer saga though and is seeking talks with Khedira to clarify his situation at the Schwaben.
"Khedira's contract is due to expire in a year, meaning he will be allowed to leave Stuttgart on a free transfer. That would not be good for a business like Stuttgart," admitted Bobic on a press conference.
"We would like to extend Sami Khedira's contract, but it is up to him. We will hold talks in the coming days.
"If we do sell Khedira, the income will be invested in new players, but not on a like-for-like replacement. We don't need that - we have three players in our squad who can play in his position. Certainly there will be some more players arriving though."
