Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart have completed the transfer of young attacker Martin Harnik from Werder Bremen for a reported fee of €300,000. The Schwaben have confirmed the transfer on their official website.
Stuttgart were eager to add some more depth to their attack and head coach Christian Gross sees Austrian international Harnik as the perfect addition to his squad.
The 22-year-old attacker started his professional career at Werder Bremen, but never really made an impact at the Hanseaten. They farmed him out on loan to Fortuna Dusseldorf this term, where Harnik impressed with some strong performances.
Schalke, Borussia Moenchengladbach and Hoffenheim were all interested in signing the young attacker, too, but Harnik has now opted to sign a three-year deal with Stuttgart instead.
