The Bayern gaffer wasn't too disappointed with his side's draw against Leverkusen...Bayern Munich struggled by times in Saturday's Bundesliga game against Bayer Leverkusen and eventually recorded a 1-1 draw. Head coach Louis van Gaal wasn't too disappointed with the final result though.
"I think I can be satisfied with the draw. We probably should have had a penalty at the end, but Leverkusen had plenty of chances too, more than we did," said Van Gaal on the official Bayern website.
"It’s a bit disappointing we surrendered the lead so quickly instead of nicking a 1-0 win. But we’ve had seven games in three weeks, and we’re two points and six points ahead of Schalke and Leverkusen respectively, so I’m happy."
Like his coach, holding midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger was quite satisfied with the 1-1 draw, too.
"We came here looking for all three points, but at the end of the day, the draw is OK. We’re still top, and we have a two-point lead with four games to go, so we have a good chance of the title."
