VfB Stuttgart Midfielder Aliaksandr Hleb To Return To Barcelona, Not The Premier League - Agent
Belarus international to reject move to England...
By Steve Alexander
Both Manchester City and Aston Villa are thought to be admirers of the former Arsenal star, who joined Barcelona for a fee of £11.8million in the summer of 2008.
The 28-year-old failed to impress at the Nou Camp and was loaned out to Stuttgart but has been unable to recreate the form he showed during his time in England.
With players of the calibre of Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta at the disposal of Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola, Hleb's future at the club remains doubtful.
The midfielder's agent however, Uli Ferber is refusing to discuss a possible return to the Premier League and insists Hleb wants to be successful at Barcelona.
"At the moment from July 1 he will be playing again at Barcelona," Ferber told ESPN Soccernet. "This [moving to England] is just speculation and we will not be talking about things like that.
"Finally he will return to Barcelona. Is there a chance he will stay at Stuttgart? No. He is under contract with Barcelona and he is looking forward to playing there."
