Wolfsburg Join Race For Werder Bremen Forward Aaron Hunt - Report
The tricky attacker has attracted the interest of several Bundesliga clubs...
By Stefan Coerts
The Wolfe have been performing far from impressively this season and general director Dieter Hoeness is therefore eager to strengthen Wolfsburg's squad in the summer. Hunt is seemingly the club's top transfer target.
The 23-year-old Hunt is a product of the Werder Bremen youth academy and has been one of the surprises of the Bundesliga season. However, the versatile attacker has an expiring contract at the Hanseaten and negotiations about a new deal haven't gone as smoothly as expected.
Werder Bremen are believed to be willing to pay Hunt €3 million per year until 2013, but the forward could be tempted to move on in order to get an even bigger pay rise elsewhere.
Aside from Wolfsburg, clubs such as Hoffenheim, Stuttgart and Hamburger SV are also keeping tabs on Hunt.
