Werder Bremen 2-1 Hoffenheim - Lineups/Stats
DFB Pokal Fixtures/Results
Struggling Bundesliga sides Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim sent out full first-team lineups today in an attempt to gather some momentum as the critical spring months approach.
Brazilian defender Naldo put Bremen ahead in the 27th minute, and his goal was difference between the two sides until Prince Tagoe headed in the equaliser just moments after he was introduced in the 71st minute.
Not to be outdone, Hugo Almeida, who came on at the same time as Tagoe, scored the game-winner with just under 15 minutes left. The result means that Hoffenheim crash out of this year's DFB Pokal, and Werder Bremen advance to the semi-finals.
