Bavarian giants Bayern Munich have received some disturbing news from the treatment table in the build-up to the second half of the Bundesliga season.

According to a report on spox.com, highly rated winger Franck Ribery has picked up a toe injury during Bayern's training camp in Dubai and was forced to miss yesterday's session due to the knock.

Even though the injury is not believed to be too serious, Ribery will be far from happy that he's yet again sidelined due to physical problems.

The French international missed the majority of the first half of the season due to a knee injury and only returned to regular training a fortnight ago.

It's not yet known how long the 26-year-old will be out of action, but he's expected to be match fit in time for Bayern's next league game, at home to Hoffenheim on January 15.
