Bundesliga table toppers Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed that highly rated youngster Richard Sukuta-Pasu will leave the Werkself for Sankt Pauli on a 18-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old striker, who has progressed through the Werkself youth ranks since 2000 and made four Bundesliga appearances to date, is to go out on loan to St. Pauli until the end of the 2010-11 season to gain first team experience in the second division.

“Richard is a great German prospect. We are convinced that the decision to join FC St. Pauli is exactly the right move to help his development,” declared Leverkusen's sporting director Rudi Voller.

The two clubs have agreed not to disclose any further details of the move.

After Pierre De Wit’s move to second division outfit Kaiserslautern earlier this month, Sukuta-Pasu will be the second Bayer 04 youngster to leave during the winter break.
