Peruvian Youngster Juan Barros On Trial At Werder Bremen
Barros will get the chance to impress the Werder coaching staff in the upcoming days...
Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen have confirmed that young attacker Juan Barros will get the chance to earn himself a contract at the Hanseaten during a trial period.
The 20-year-old Peruvian, who has a Colombian passport, took part in the South American U20 championship in Venezuela last summer and impressed Werder's scouts with some good performances.
Barros is currently under contract with Peruvian top flight side Coronel Bolognesi. The speedy striker will take part in Werder training over the next couple days. The Bremen side reportedly consider the attacker as a possible long term replacement for Claudio Pizarro.
Pizarro is on his way back again after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The 31-year-old took part in individual training with physiotherapist Stefan Wolters.
"With Claudio Pizarro we still have to see if we can think about him maybe taking part in normal team training. The things he has been doing have gone well," said coach Thomas Schaaf on the official Werder website.
