Stuttgart And Schalke To Battle It Out For Brazilian Forward Elton - Report
The highly rated attacker could be on his way to the Bundesliga...
According to a report on Globe Esporte, Bundesliga outfits Stuttgart and Schalke are closely monitoring Vasco da Gama's Brazilian attacker Elton.
Stuttgart are struggling to stay clear of the drop zone this season and are reportedly eager to strengthen their attack in the upcoming January transfer window.
Schalke are expected to let go of attackers such as Halil Altintop, Gerald Asamoah and Kevin Kuranyi in the not too distant future due to their significant salaries and head coach Felix Magath sees Elton as a good replacement.
They face stiff competition in the race to secure the 24-year-old's signature though. The report suggests that Eredivisie powerhouse PSV are also keeping tabs on Elton.
