Things are starting to look good again for beleaguered Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal. The Dutch tactician has been forced to make do without Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery for most of the season so far due to injury.
However, Van Gaal did welcome Robben back to the training pitch earlier this week and now French winger Ribery is nearing a return as well.
"It’s going very well for Franck. He has no pain any more, which is significant. He can run as much as he likes, and he’s training very hard. He’s already had the ball at his feet," Van Gaal said on the official FCB website.
"In the very best case, Ribery might even manage 10 or 15 minutes in next Tuesday’s crunch Champions League showdown in Turin. However, I reckon Juve will come too soon for him."
The France star had been plagued by a patellar tendon problem for the last two months.
