Bayern Munich's sporting director Christian Nerlinger has made it clear that the Bavarians have faith in their own youth products, stating that there are a number of interesting prospects coming up again.

"We’re keeping a close eye on a few of our youngsters who we believe may have the quality to play for Bayern Munich. They will soon be invited to train with the senior squad, allowing the coaching staff to gain a first-hand impression for themselves," said Nerlinger on the official Bayern website.

“Louis van Gaal puts his faith in talent. Under him, Holger Badstuber and Thomas Mueller have made unbelievable progress.”

The FCB sporting director also spoke about the situation of Toni Kroos, currently on loan at Bundesliga table toppers Bayer Leverkusen.

"Why shouldn’t we give a major talent like Toni Kroos the chance to develop as a player at a different club, so he’s in a position to help us straight away when he returns to Bayern. I believe it’s a very interesting way of helping our youngsters come on.

"On the one hand you have the Riberys and Tonis, who we need for consistent success. On the other hand, you have players coming out of our superb development system. The squad has plenty of those, and some are first-choice, like Philipp Lahm and Bastian Schweinsteiger."
