Luca Toni Can Search For Another Team To Play For - Bayern Munich Coach Van Gaal
The Italian is likely to look for greener pastures in the January transfer window...
Bayern Munich trainer Louis van Gaal has told the press that striker Luca Toni may leave the club this winter. The former Fiorentina star has made no secret of the fact he is unhappy at the club and wants to return to Serie A.
"The player himself has said he wants to leave," admitted Van Gaal, according to forzaroma.info.
"In this case I think he should search for another team. Certainly, the decision is up to the club, but I have some influence on this."
Toni has already spent some time with the reserve team this season, falling behind in the pecking order at the club and the Dutch tactician hinted the reason for Toni's impending departure was his lack of professionalism.
"All players have their chances, but they all need to meet the commitment required by Bayern to be considered a professional," he concluded.
Van Gaal's position at the club is not necessarily safe either, as Bayern Munich must win their final Champions League match against Juventus in December to qualify for the knock-out stages.
Roma, Milan, and Napoli are said to be interested in the striker, who was a 2006 World Cup winner.
