Bayern Munich Coach Louis van Gaal Suspends Luca Toni - Report
The veteran Italian is in the stands. Though FCB are officially stating that it is because of an injury, suggestions in the German media hint otherwise...
Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal has reportedly suspended Luca Toni from first team duty for insubordination.
The outspoken Italian recently vented his frustration against his manager, telling to Rai TV, "It’s been four months that I have had problems with him. Enough is enough. Our rapport is almost non-existent..."
The official news given by the Bayern website is that Toni is still suffering from the injury that kept him out last weekend in the draw against Bayer Leverkusen.
However, Bild claims that Toni has in fact been omitted for disciplinary reasons.
Van Gaal said in the past, "Luca Toni has to change his behaviour."
The striker's latest declarations have apparently seen the coach's patience run out.
Toni, 32, signed for Bayern from Fiorentina in 2007.
