Hamburg Keen To Re-Sign Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe From Club Brugge - Report
Despite having failed at HSV previously, the Belgian youngster could be on his way back to Germany...
According to a report in Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, holding midfielder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe could be on his way back to Germany after impressing the scouts of several Bundesliga outfits.
Odjidja-Ofoe is a product of the Anderlecht youth academy and was widely considered as one of Belgium's best youngsters. However, the midfielder was unhappy with his lack of regular first team action and left Anderlecht for Hamburg in January 2008.
The 20-year-old failed to break into the first team at HSV and returned to Belgium one year later. Odjidja-Ofoe has developed into a key player at Club Brugge under head coach Adrie Koster (pictured) and his development hasn't gone unnoticed in Germany.
The report suggests that Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Moenchengladbach and Koeln are all monitoring the midfielder's situation, but Europa League hopefuls Hamburg are believed to be sitting in pole position to re-sign the youngster.
HSV coach Bruno Labbadia is keen to add some more depth to his squad and reportedly sees Odjidja-Ofoe as the perfect candidate to strengthen his midfield.
Nevertheless, Brugge are reluctant to let go of their prized asset and it remains to be seen whether HSV are ready to meet their hefty asking price.
