Bayern Munich Can Never Be Satisfied With Failure To Win At Home - Uli Hoeness
Die Roten may be disappointed to have only secured a solitary point at home against the Konigsblauen, but it was an improvement on previous performances, according to Hoeness...
Bayern Munich were held to a 1-1 draw by Schalke 04 last weekend, much to the disappointment of FCB general director Uli Hoeness.
Daniel Van Buyten gifted the hosts the lead, but Joel Matip eventually helped the Konigsblauen to a draw
"Basically, we can never be satisfied with failure to win at home. You could sense the pressure on the players," Hoeness stated to the press.
"I didn’t think we were particularly good at the start, but we improved after we scored – and that’s exactly when we conceded the goal. I’m fairly certain that if we’d gone in at half-time 1-0 up, we’d have won the game.
"On top of everything, we’re having no luck at all at the moment. Schalke hacked two shots off the line in the second half.
"We can’t be satisfied with the result, but compared to the Bordeaux game in midweek, the match as such was a great deal better.“
Bayern currently sit eighth in the table, trailing table-toppers Bayer Leverkusen by six points.
