Werder Bremen Star Marko Marin Gunning For Revenge Against Austria Vienna
Boosted by a trio of players coming back to fitness after lengthy absences, Werder are eager to pick up three Europa League points against Die Veilchen...
The Hanseaten appeared to be on their way to a comfortable away win against the Austrians two weeks ago. However, they threw away a 2-0 lead and had to settle for a draw.
"That was bitter in Vienna when we allowed the equaliser. We were just not very good. But we want to make amends for that [on Thursday]," Marin told the press.
"If we win then we have ten points and are in a good position. Maybe we will already be through to the next round. That is one of our main goals this season."
Three long-term injury absentees could return to match action on Thursday. Sebastian Proedl, Hugo Almeida and Daniel Jensen are all ready to go again for the Green-Whites.
