Official: Bayern Munich Midfielder Jose Sosa Sent On Loan To Estudiantes
The 24-year-old has been sent back to his former club until the end of June. He will be hoping to recapture his best form, which enticed the Bundesliga giants to sign him in the first place...
Bayern Munich have farmed midfielder Jose Ernesto Sosa out on loan to Argentine outfit Estudiantes de La Plata. The 24-year-old left Munich on Wednesday for his home country.
Bayern and the current Argentine league leaders have agreed loan terms for the midfielder through to June 30, 2010.
Sosa joined Bayern from Estudiantes in July 2007 but the midfielder has failed to make an impact at the Bavarians. Sosa has made 52 appearances for FCB and has scored twice, but he has only started 22 matches in total.
“I’m a realist. I can have no complaints. My team-mates have always treated me fairly. I’ve simply not made the most of my appearances when I’ve been handed them,” Sosa told Bayern's official website.
His contract with Bayern runs until June 30, 2011.
Eleven games into the Argentine Apertura championship, Estudiantes are level on points with Banfield and Newell's Old Boys but head the standings on goal difference.
