Patrick Helmes Returns To Bayer Leverkusen Training
Werkself forward Helmes is back in training and is eager to pick things up a little further. He has yet to play this season...
The prolific forward suffered the injury back in June whilst keeping fit on holiday. As a result, he has not featured for the side this season.
A report on the official Leverkusen website states that Helmes trained with the squad for much of Wednesday's session.
"I'm building up slowly," he confirmed. "I trained with the squad for an hour on Saturday and I'd like to start full training after the Eintracht Frankfurt game on November 6. My knee's fine again and I feel fully fit."
Helmes was Leverkusen's top goalscorer last term with 21 goals. That was his first year with the club after joining the Werkself from Koeln in the summer of 2008.
