Bochum Set To Appoint Heiko Herrlich As New Coach - Report
The Bundesliga outfit have reportedly found a new trainer in the shape of the former Schwarzgelben stalwart. He has no club level experience but has worked with Germany's Under-17 side....
According to a report in Kicker, Bundesliga outfit Bochum have targeted former Borussia Dortmund striker Heiko Herrlich as their new head coach.
Bochum have been looking for a new trainer since they decided to part company with Marcel Koller six weeks ago. Frank Heinemann has been in charge as caretaker boss since.
Heinemann guided his side to four points in four Bundesliga games, but he has been unable to keep the side clear of the drop zone. They currently sit 17th in the table.
Herrlich appeared to be on his way to Kaiserslautern last summer, but the deal eventually collapsed.
The report suggests that Bochum will present Herrlich as their new head coach on Wednesday. However, the club have yet to confirm the rumour.
