Stuttgart Coach Markus Babbel Frustrated With Schalke Loss
The Stuttgart gaffer was far from happy with the final result against Schalke...
Struggling Bundesliga side Stuttgart recorded yet another league defeat on Saturday, when Schalke 04 proved to be too strong for the Schwaben (2-1). Stuttgart coach Markus Babbel is slowly starting to get frustrated with his side's results.
"The team put up a great fight today and showed real determination to try win the game. We made mistakes at decisive moments though. That was very frustrating," said Babbel on the after match press conference.
"I really do feel sorry for the team but we can take confidence from the performance ahead of the Champions League game against Sevilla on Tuesday."
Sporting director Horst Heldt also discussed Stuttgart's performance against Schalke and made it clear that the Schwaben are among the teams that are fighting against relegation at the moment.
"We had plenty of chances to win that game but at the decisive moments we made individual errors. There is now no doubting the fact that we are battling against relegation in the Bundesliga."
