Arjen Robben's Injury Is Severe, Fears Bayern Munich Coach Louis van Gaal

The Dutchmen are understandably upset...

Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal fears the worst following an injury to Arjen Robben during his side's 0-0 draw with Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Speaking to NOS television after the game, van Gaal said, "I worry that I will be unable to use Robben for a long period.

"Players can usually feel how severe their injury is. I asked Arjen, and he said, 'This feels bad.'"

Robben was known during his days at Chelsea for being especially injury-prone, and while he was able to avoid a single lengthy absence at Real Madrid, frequent visits to the physio were a matter of course.

Bayern fans are hopeful that the Dutchman will in fact me back on the pitch sooner rather than later, as he has hit two league goals already this season.
