Juergen Rober A Candidate To Replace Lucien Favre At Hertha - Report

Lucien Favre could be fired as Hertha coach in the upcoming weeks...

Bundesliga: Lucien Favre, Hertha BSC
Hertha have lined up Juergen Rober to replace ailing head coach Lucien Favre.

The Swiss might have lost key players such as Josip Simunic, Andriy Voronin and Marko Pantelic this summer, but the board of the Europa League hopefuls are far from happy with the way things are going at the moment.

They have collected only three points from their initial six matches and sit last in the league table.

According to a report in Bild, the 51-year-old will have three more fixtures to turn things around. Favre could get the sack if Hertha fail to record good results against 1860 Munich, Hoffenheim and Sporting CP.

The German newspaper suggests that Hertha already have a replacement ready to claim Favre's role: Rober.

The 55-year-old previously enjoyed a successful spell at the Berlin side from 1996-02. He guided Hertha back to the 1. Bundesliga and even helped them to the Champions League, finishing third in the table in 1999.
