Werder Bremen Chase Bordeaux's Fernando Menegazzo - Report
The Germans have set their sights on a new holding midfielder...
Werder are in the market for a new holding midfielder due to the retirement of Frank Baumann earlier this summer, and they've reportedly made Menegazzo their primary target in the transfer market.
The Brazilian midfielder joined Bordeaux from Italian side Siena in the summer of 2005 and has since developed into an important first-team player.
Menegazzo has already made more than 120 league appearances and played in important role in Bordeaux's successful league campaign last term.
His current outfit are keen to hold on to Menegazzo, but Bordeaux could be tempted to release the midfielder if a bid in the region of €5 million comes in.
