Injury Shock For HSV Defender Alex Silva
The Brazilian international has sustained a serious knee injury…
Highly-rated Brazilian defender Alex Silva sustained a knee injury in the match and had to leave the pitch due to the knock. The 24-year-old visited the hospital today to clarify the seriousness of the injury and he didn’t get good news.
Silva has sustained torn knee ligaments and faces a long spell on the sidelines. Doctors expect the towering centre-back to be unavailable for at least eight months due to the injury.
It was not all misery for the Germans though, as long term injury concern Romeo Castelen returned to match action in the friendly game. The Dutch winger had been unavailable for more than 18 months due to a knee problem.
