Report: Hamdi Rouid In Negotiations With Hertha Berlin
The Tunisian defender could join his compatriot, Amine Chermiti, if all goes well.
According to infosfoot.net, Club Sportif Sfaxien defender
Hamdi Rouid may soon become the second player from the 'Arab Juventus' to leave
for Europe this off-season, after former captain Issam Merdassi joined
Switzerland’s Young Boys last week on a three-year contract.
The centre-back has already had a trial with the German side but could also join Werder Bremen or Hannover, where countryman Karim Haggui signed recently, if an agreement on a transfer fee and personal terms are not reached with Hertha officials.
The Berlin-based side's Tunisian forward, Amine Chermiti, recently made a claim that the team were interested in as many as four players from the North African country, but Rouid was not one of them.
However, it is entirely possible that the Sfaxien stopper was added to the list after it was revealed that Etoile Sportive du Sahel were unwilling to part with their defensive ace, Ammar Jemal, since they offloaded Radhouane Felhi to 1860 Munich.
