Reports last week suggested that German champions Wolfsburg are closely monitoring the situation of Algerian midfielder Karim Ziani of Olympique de Marseille and now it seems the transfer could be a done deal within the next few days.

According to Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung, the Bundesliga outfit have reportedly already agreed personal terms with the 26-year-old and the transfer will most likely be completed on Tuesday.

Ziani is unlikely to be part of Marseille's new head coach Didier Deschamps' plans and is therefore widely expected to move on in order to get regular first team football somewhere else.

The Algerian international signed for Marseille in the summer of 2007, but failed to live up to the high expectations at his new club. Ziani mainly warmed the bench at L'OM in the past two seasons.
