Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have completed the transfer of Bulgarian attacker Dimitar Rangelov from Energie Cottbus for €1.2 million.

The striker joined Cottbus from Strasbourg in 2007 and has since scored 15 league goals in 29 appearances. However, the 26-year-old was desperate to leave the club after relegation to the 2. Bundesliga this term.

Rangelov has signed a four-year deal at his new team and made it clear that he was extremely happy with the move.

"I'm very happy that I signed for Dortmund. This is the next step in my career and I'm delighted to be representing such an illustrious club," said Rangelov on the club's official website.

"I saw Dortmund winning the Champions League when I was fourteen years old. I played in Borussia's stadium once when I was a teenager and now I get the chance to play there every two weeks. It's like a dream come true."

Rangelov is Dortmund's third signing for next campaign after the club already secured the services of Kevin Grosskreutz and Markus Feulner.
