Bradley Hits Field For M‘gladbach
US International midfielder Michael Bradley made his debut for Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday playing the first 65 minutes of their 1-0 loss to Hertha Berlin.
Highly-touted US International Michael Bradley made his first appearance for his new side, Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday replacing Patrick Paauwe in the starting line-up in their match against Hertha Berlin. Paauwe was injured in the pre-match warm-up and wasn’t able to play, giving Bradley the chance to step in.
Donning the number 26, Bradley played well in his debut forcing an early save by Berlin keeper Jaroslav Drobny. Fitting in nicely in the center of Borussia’s midfield, Bradley was active and alert in his team’s 1-0 loss.
He played the first 65 minutes of the match getting his nose in on numerous occasions before being brought off in favor of German midfielder Alexander Baumjohann.
The 21-year old New Jersey native made the move from the Dutch team Heerenveen to M’gladbach back on August 31st for an undisclosed fee. He signed a 4-year contract with the recently promoted German outfit, despite speculation he might move to England or France.
