Miodrag Radulovic Resigns As Pakhtakor Boss
The Montenegrin has stepped down as Pakhtakor coach...
Montenegrin coach Miodrag Radulovic has made the decision to throw in the towel as boss of AFC Champions League hopefuls Pakhtakor only days ahead of the crucial match against Al Gharafa on May 11.Radulovic had only been the man in charge at the Uzbek side since December 2009, but family reasons and the chance to work in Europe made him decide to resign with immediate effect.
"It was a very hard decision for me. Over the past few months, my soul has become attached to Pakhtakor. However, in life there are situations that arise when it is necessary to make decisions that are not to everyone's liking," said Radulovic on the club's official website.
"I have been invited to work at a European club with rich history and big ambition by a close friend and I cannot refuse such an offer. Therefore, I asked Pakhtakor to cancel my contract and I'm grateful they understood my reasoning. Also, I did not think it would be so hard to be so far from my family."
