South China are still not sure whether they will be able to count on Chan Siu-ki for their clash against VB.

Speaking to the-AFC.com, Chan said, "My ankle problem has recovered about 80 per cent but it was still painful when I pushed it hard during training."

"“I am not sure if I can play next week. It will depend on the progress I make in the next few days.

"Maybe I can play as a substitute, but it is too early to say.

"Yes, I haven’t played for a long time, but I just need to score a few goals before I can reach my top form again."

South China drew 0-0 with Muang Thong United in their first AFC Cup match.
