Kashima Antlers are hoping to claim the J-League crown for the fourth consecutive season, and Daiki Iwamasa is confident of success.
Speaking to the-AFC.com, Iwamasa said, "The road to becoming champions is long and tough."
"I think this year will also be tough. But we have experience of taking the journey to becoming champions, so I think we can overcome the challenges.
"All we can do is believe we can do it."
Kashima beat Urawa Red Diamonds 2-0 at the weekend.
