President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono lifts World Cup trophy during its tour to Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Indonesian Football Federation deputy General Secretary, Dali Tahir, had recently claimed that FIFA had confirmed that the 2022 World Cup would be held in Asia, but the governing body has moved to deny this.

Speaking to The World Game, a spokesman said, "FIFA has made no such comment regarding a definitive venue for the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups."

Indonesia's bid is in jeopardy, after they failed to acquire the necessary support from their government.
