Ex-Liverpool Manager Gerard Houllier To Teach Asian Football Federation Coaches

The former French coach will teach an Asian coaching seminar…

Former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier will be the chief instructor in charge of a new course at the AFC Elite Education Seminar in January 2010.

In a statement made via www.the-afc.com, AFC Deputy General Secretary and Education Division Director Hasan Al Sabah said, “We are happy to have a coach of the stature of Houllier taking part in our course.”

Houllier, former national team coach and now technical director of the FFF (French Football Federation), will take the course over two days and will be in charge of the federation’s coaching instructor course.

The seminar, the biggest of its kind on the continent, will also feature a futsal coaching course instructed by two official UEFA licensed futsal coaches.

"We had some of our guys go to one of UEFA’s futsal courses and now we have two from UEFA coming to our course,” said AFC Referees Department Director Yoshimi Ogawa.
