Lebanon 0-2 China: Easy Does It For The Visitors
China for once seem to be doing things the easy way...
China won 2-0 in Lebanon
on Saturday evening to put themselves in a good position in Group D of their
2011 Asian Cup qualifying group.
A goal in each half, from Yu Hai before the break and Qu Bo after, puts China in second place with six points from three games.
Syria are top with nine and Vietnam are in third place with three.
Lebanon are still searching for their first point and are out of the running.
After a slow start, China started to get on top at the Beirut Municipality Stadium.
They were rewarded a minute before the break. Rong Hao found Yu Hai who shot past Lary Mehanna.
After the restart, China continued to push forward in search of the goal that would seal the win.
It came 18 minutes from time. Rong was again involved as he headed on a Gao Lin corner for Qu Bo to hammer home.
The home fans let their displeasure at the second goal be known and when play eventually started, China closed out the game with the minimum of fuss.
The two teams head to China for the return match on November 22.
