Rivaldo netted a hat-trick on Thursday night as Bunyodkor underlined their dominance in the Uzbek League with a 4-0 mauling of Metallurg.
It took the former Brazil international superstar just six minutes to find the net, and Ancar Soliev struck 10 minutes before half-time to give the Asian Champions League quarter-finalists a cozy lead at the break.
But Rivaldo wasn't done tormenting his opponents, as he latched onto a Jasur Hasanov cross less than 15 minutes after the restart to notch up his second goal and went on to complete his treble in stoppage time.
The one-time Barcelona favourite is Bunyodkor's top scorer with 10 goals, two ahead of second-placed Soliev.
It was the Tashkent club's 12th straight victory. They sit six points ahead of Pakhtakor after 12 games each.
