WATCH: Liverpool stars MURDER classic hip-hop anthems

James Milner and Adam Lallana are among the players to struggle when it comes to spitting rhymes as the Anfield outfit chose a unique way to sell their pre-season tour

How does a football team go about advertising it's pre-season tour of the USA? In Liverpool's case you make your players rap, with some hilarious results.

The Reds are set to take on Chelsea, AC Milan and Roma in July ahead of Jurgen Klopp's first full season in charge, and with their games taking place on the west coast it only seemed right to emulate some of hip-hop's biggest stars.

Unfortunately, it seems there are very few within the playing squad that can either hold a tune or spit rhymes with any conviction.

While Christian Benteke makes a decent fist of his renditon of 2Pac's 'California Love' and Simon Mignolet somehow makes a monotone version of 'Gangsta's Paradise' by Coolio work, the others involved are less than impressive.

Adam Lallana's reluctance comes through in his performance while James Milner's Yorkshire drawl does quite fit with the lyrics of 'Regulate' by Warren G. Don't give up the day job, fellas!
