Jordan international Ahmad Hayel is close to signing with Kuwait's Al Arabi on a free transfer, the player revealed on Monday.

The 28-year-old striker contributed to Al Faisaly's unprecedented league, Jordan Cup and Super Cup triple last season.

"I have an agreement with the Kuwaiti team," Hayel told in exclusive comments. "The contract will last for one year and it will be a $350,000 contract. I'll sign in the coming days."

Hayel scored four goals in the third round of 2014 World Cup qualifying for Asia, helping Al Nashama advance to the fourth round where they're grouped with Iraq, Oman, Australia and Japan.

Al Arabi finished third in last year's Kuwaiti Premier League in addition to winning the Kuwait Crown Cup.
