Khalfan Ibrahim signs new five-year deal with Al Sadd

The 24-year-old Qatar international has ended speculation on his club future by putting pen to paper on a deal which keeps him in Doha for a further five years

Khalfan Ibrahim has signed a new long-term deal with Asian champions Al Sadd, keeping him at the club until 2017.

Speculation had recently mounted about the former AFC Player of the Year's club future, however those rumours now put to bed following the announcement.

Al Sadd officials confirmed the new deal, with Khalfan previously contracted until 2014.

The 24-year-old playmaker helped Al Sadd win the 2011 AFC Champions League.
